Public authorities are in a state of transformation. Step by step, they are expanding the services they provide for the population, while at the same time making their structures and processes citizen-friendly, more efficient and more cost-effective. IT has a key role to play here as many new services would be completely impossible without it. However it also poses new risks.
SQS has these risks in its sights. We have been partners with authorities at the national, regional and local level for many years, and thus helped minimise the risks to their budgets and system operation. At the same time we make certain that public clients receive the functionality they need - and for which they bear responsibility to the citizens. SQS Security testing services are a key offering in this area as never before has so much information been held on government databases - and the security of this data is paramount - lapses in security can be disastrous for the public and government alike.
SQS has achieved these objectives in numerous projects in the public sector. The set of instruments we use for this encompasses all the current methods of quality and risk management as well as quality assurance. These include an assessment procedure that makes the strengths and weaknesses of IT transparent, but also the testing of IT systems, including standard applications such as SAP, or change and configuration management. As well as that we keep complex applications under control: monitoring systems make sure that project managers are aware of what their software can do, and what stage each IT project has reached.
